After negotiating multiple mediations in the dissolution of my 20-year+ marriage, I took that insight, combined with my financial & legal skill sets, to help others wisely negotiate complex financial issues - including close friends - long before I officially opened up my mediation practice. I learned a hard truth: ONLY mediation allows for customized solutions to protect what you built.
Clients are welcome with or without attorneys. I have relationships with attorneys in multiple practice areas-in large, boutique, & small firms.
The RIPPLE EFFECTS: Life has conflict. I literally came up with “the ripple effect” verbiage - when I was navigating my own divorce - as I saw first-hand how my choices had enormous future implications - simply put - how we respond to conflict has consequences with ripple effects. My focus is to facilitate peaceful more informed negotiations - using my unique financial expertise coupled with kind, reflective listening. I calculate & present creative financial scenarious derived after a detailed review of clients’ financials.
The MISSION & VISION: Through my experiences, my passion grew to design a mediation practice to help clients make key moves around issues & challenges I, too, had to navigate - in my first mediation dissolution process. I ended up having to go back to mediation a few years later due to a break in good faith negotiations I questioned & this is also what fuels me to do the right thing, even when the right thing is harder to do. It is also why I take leveling the power imbalances very seriously. Those experiences deeply fuel me to ensure none of my clients’ experience this disservice. I too, like my clients, was extremely vulnerable despite my financial skill sets, as my son was not doing well so as a mother that significantly impacted me. I also discovered-too late-that I could have stopped & further, more importantly-could have also reversed agreements-made under extreme duress, amidst a disabling medical condition. It was simply too late in the game-when I found out I was spot on-and I was forced to go to court. ALL these KEY learnings I BRING to the TABLE FOR CLIENTS so both parties NEVER go properly unprotected & my own experience makes me FIERCELY PROTECTIVE of each element of GOOD FAITH ensure each party defines uniquely to each case - is upheld - on both sides.
NET: I take my mission - to be a client’s LIGHTHOUSE in the STORM - very seriously: #1-Crucial for clients: I saw recurring opportunities to use my financial insight to streamline negotiations for more creative, innovative outcomes; #2-I help “expand clients’ pies via a vision of abundance”-versus- “dividing up clients’ lives” -in a scarcity mindset; #3-I intentionally focus on discerning clients’ relational dynamics to enlighten negotiations & level the power imbalances for insightful EQUITABLE financial resolutions.

More CERTAINTY: I intentionally do a forensic financial “deep dive” pre-mediation - while still charging a Flat Fee to #1-eliminate undue stress as clients are certain of the total fee & #2-for more key “fluid communication” versus worry over making a call/email. #3-The END GOAL: to help all parties flourish moving forward with custom, creative, win/win resolutions- in half the time- by simplifying issues via my gut insight from my depth of financial knowledge.
